Christmas Wishes

How strange is it that my son likes SANTA?  Every Santa we pass he wants to visit with.... and he does visit!! He tells them what he wants!  A HELICOPTER... man I hope Santa listens! 

This year we have several books about the meaning of Christmas and we read so much he can nearly recite the books!  In the store he said he wanted something for Baby Jesus' birthday... it was pretty cute!  Perhaps to young to fully grasp it but he can begin to understand! 

He has the excitement of Christmas all about him... the lights, the decorations, the music, the hoopla!  He loves it!  He will even let me dress him in fancy clothes...he understands it is a special time!  And that people keep asking him what he wants... he is a child.. he understands WANTS!!  And what he wants is a helicopter...and ice skates... and strawberries... and a bottle of warm milk... that is what is on his list... And my guess he will get those things! (minus the bottle part because we have transitioned away from bottles!)

The excitement of Christmas should be felt in every one of us!!  We should all understand and remember the meaning of Christmas and we should feel that peace and excitement!  It is in the story of Jesus.... and in the magic of Santa Claus... itis all around us.  I am super thankful that one small boy brings so much to our family!  He is our spirit of Chirstmas... our little gift!!   And while there may not be many presents or expensive things... there is family, food, a house and the joy we find in each other!  So let the celebrating begin... we are ready!!
