Still have it
I still have the magic touch! The ability to break things COMPELTELY BY ACCIDENT.
I pulled a glass pitcher out of the clean dishwasher. It was not HOT but slightly warm. I dumped in a can of nearly frozen apple juice. Turned on the water and filled the juice carton. Not thinking. The tap had just been on hot. So hot water, frozen juice, slightly warm pitcher.....SHATTERED.....
Yes oh glory be! I was home alone and disaster was quickly averted.
It however was the last pitcher we have in this house because the others have been used for bug containers (they are not coming back inside) or previously broken. Guess it is my luck.
Then not a few days later I was unpacking my box of pottery from the show this last weekend. I had forgotten I had purchased a jar of honey. OH..... the most beautiful honey. As I was getting it out, the lid popped off... HONEY EVERYWHERE.... Yep.... that happens here. Thankfully it was right side up and I only lost a portion of the jar of honey. *We buy in bulk from a local source so we don't waste much honey here. But then I had to clean all my stuff.
And to top it all off.... I had my kindle out. Read. Put it down. It has never come back on. We have charged it. Reset it. Nothing. I am in the middle of a book people.... ARGH. Yea. Guess that is what is on my Christmas list. What the heck. It gave me 4 good years and many good reads.
Just kills me when this stuff happens to me!!
So if you have not broken a glass pitcher or spilled honey this week ~ consider yourself quite lucky!
