Cell + Coffee = BAD NEWS
TGIF! Most of the time I don't even bother to know what day it is but I know this week. I was all set for a move... the house was supposed to close on Monday (3/29) and this weekend I was to have Eric & my Sister (Shanna) here to not only entertain me & Espen but to HELP with a move. And the closing has been bumped back a MONTH ~ UGH. BUT Eric & Shanna still are here & instead of a rush & move weekend it is a relaxing visiting weekend! And I am enjoying it!
But right now I am going to cook Tortilla Soup for my sick neighbor (and of course for us) and enjoy some time with my visiting friend. YUMMY YUMMY!! And I will eagerly look forward to my sisters arrival tomorrow night!
But of course YESTERDAY was Thursday and there was maybe something in the stars or the wind that caused some accidents here. For a little boy of about 28 inches tall, his arm reach is getting to be quite long and where I thought were safe places to put things are no longer safe... And there managed to be a hammer dropped and a cup of lukewarm coffee. There WAS NO INJURY ~ unless we consider my cell phone a casualty. Of course you may wonder ~ who leaves a cell phone near a hammer & coffee?~ well have you met me? I do of course! So the baby grabbed from a spot I didn't think he could reach my coffee and spilled it all over the phone, himself & the floor... again THERE WAS NO INJURY.... but the drama of being stuck under a sink of cold water, of the crazy dogs who had some coffee, of a crying mommy was enough to give him a fit of the giggles.... So the day ended with some bumps, bruises & a scan of the living room for things that can topple down or be pulled off! And rest assured, it is all safe now! His arm span is that of the NBA... my cell phone well there is a glimmer of hope... the coffee in some way, settled in the case and not in the phone so when I popped the case off to salvage it, the phone was unharmed.... LUCK was on my side... So I don't get a new phone this week.
