Dad's sick

Let me start off with "I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE MY MISFORTUNE".

We spent 3 days "prepping" for a move we are not 100% sure is happening in 2 weeks. So to be ready (just in case) we have started the process to prepare for the moving company. Alone again today, I continued in the efforts. I took down things & organized Espen's room while he was awake. Nearly done I decided I should change the time on the clock in the living room while I had the step stool out. Well.... OF course Espen got right at the step stool and I wasn't tall enough to reach and had stepped on the built in book case trying to put the clock back and I lost my balance. To avoid stepping on my precious little son, I grabbed the book case (carefully so as to not destroy some of my sculptures) and I let go of the 12 year old clock... and CRASH it fell to the floor sending wood & glass & a battery skidding across the floor... and Espen ~ bless him ~ said "UH OH"... and he was so right. So I had to clean and cry about a dumb clock that I stopped liking a couple years ago.... But geez how much stuff can one person possibly break?....

So my dad is in the hospital ~ indeed I'd say he is broken. He was rushed by ambulance from the ranch to Shawnee & then taken via ambulance to St. Anthony's in Oklahoma City. So far there have been a battery of tests run and they are having a rough time determining what is wrong with him ~ other than there is something. He is in extreme pain. His faith in the medical system is faultering. My mom is managing in the courageous fashion that she musters up.

So at this moment I am still in Illinois. My sisters ~ as usual ~ are taking care of the ranch & mom & whatever they can. And if they need me and a little helper they know to call & I'll be there as soon as I can. Keep my mom & dad in your prayers..... they are broken right now and we hope the doctors will find a way to fix one of them so they can keep on keeping on.....

In the meantime, there may be some need to help at the ranch ~ we don't yet know. If you want to help you should speak up! There may be some need for some strength through prayer... DO IT NOW...
