Flowering Bougainvillea

Coffee... I certainly start my day with it! And this morning as I was pouring boiling water into my coffee press I was with hot kettle in one hand and a wiggly child in the other daydreaming about a far away place where they let you sleep in just a little bit. The sun was streaming into the bank of windows in the kitchen and it felt nice. And I had just the right angle to read the bag of STARBUCKS coffee that I spent to much on and it is ground to fine for my press.... the coffee GUATEMALA ANTIGUA is the blend encourages ... Enjoy with: a carmel dipped apple beneath a flowering bougainvillea. HA HA yea right! That would be lovely... bougainvillea is a beautiful & dangerous plant - both delicate & strong. I had one once upon a time in a warm climate... and I loved and loathed it. So as I multi-task & drink my coffee, perhaps I will imagine a place & time when I will again have a bougainvillea to sit near! So I salute STARBUCKS this morning for putting me in a sunny disposition!

And if you must know WHY I spend so much on one bag of coffee... the reason is silly... sure I can get behind a shared planet concept, the coffee is not bad... but the real reason.. if you return the empty bag to a STARBUCKS location, you get a free tall coffee... and for anyone who knows that in itself saves some scratch!! So now you know my secret... I drink STARBUCKS at home so I can get a free cup on the go!
