HAPPY FRIDAY

I've been here on Tammy Street for a little over a week. We've been busily tearing up nearly every room while trying to get it painted & clean. The funny thing right now is that we don't have a washer/dryer until Monday and since I am the MESSIEST painter I have been wearing the same clothes for a week... I'm covered in paint and SMELL HORRID! And I just wear them to Target or Menard's or to eat.... I am a wreck... TOTALLY...

But we've gotten the downstairs painted it just needs floor. The downstairs bath is in need of a re-do but it is the last project. The mainfloor guest bedroom (the smokers room) is clear of smoke smells FINALLY... I primed the floor & all the surfaces. And painted. It is ready for floor. The master is painted. It is ready for a floor. Today I tore up my closet & we are going to finish it tonight. I did the master bath myself the other day and tonight put up the cute window covering. I have a whirlpool tub & can't use it because after a week of bleaching the jets it still blows mold. WTF.

The floor was delivered the other day and the nice driver came in a semi and blocked the road making me laugh. WHAT THE NEIGHBORS must think!!! But he was only supposed to drop the PALLET of floor at the street. Well what the hell was I supposed to do with 2000 pounds of floor by myself?? So he was kind enough to put it on some kind of thing & I pushed while he pulled the pallet all the way into the garage. WOW... now the neighbors talk!!

I've painted more walls & ceilings than ever in my life it seems... and since I'm painting there is some LOVELY colors!! My hand hurts... my arm randomly falls asleep. I'm SICK of painting... but I think it is almost done... we have Espen's room, a hallway, foyer, dining, living & kitchen to go & then the painting is done... Until we build a wall for my studio... but at this moment it certainly feels like we are not going to have a studio for me and that bugs me.... ALOT...

And I'm still sleeping on an air mattress. We have no furniture. It is scheduled to be delivered on May 20. If we have all the floor done! And we start the floor tomorrow in 2 rooms... we'll see how far we get! If it is anything like the closet (which I am sitting in now "supervising" the madness) then it will take longer than expected! And what I really set out to do this morning was paint the closet & get the stinky carpet out of it... and I tore all the shelves out, patched the walls & we have some nice organizational systems going in.... UGH...

I haven't really explored the neighborhood. I've been to Menard's so many times that our joke is to drop $200 there a day ... and that I'm going to apply for a job there soon! May be a good idea.

And Mother's Day is Sunday... my husband wants me to work. GEESH... I'd like a day off.. a day for some fun.... a day with some clean fresh smelling clothes... but if I do that we may need another week of the mess.... and I can't handle that... But I am thankful for my little boy who is 50 weeks old... my how a year has changed my life... and I'll cuddle him & snuggle him & tell him how much I love him... and I'll laugh with him & clean blackberries off him and we'll have the best day ever because he is here & life is the way it should be....
