Mud Pies!

WOW the sky was DARK as night this morning. Then the rain came. AND holy cow it was so much rain so fast. Haven't seen a storm like that in a long time. And when the torrential downpour stopped, it was just a steady rain and the sky got light again. SO guess who has been stuck in the house all day with 2 BIG dogs & one little boy. The cats may or may not be in here...? AND I thought I'd have my fence finished today..... grouchy about that but can't hate mother nature!

I did some organizing today in the dreadful garage... anyone want to come help? I could really use it. It is just piles and piles. But I made some minor headway. I don't think there is any chance in HELL that I will be able to share a "workshop" with my hubby. He is a mess & NEVER puts stuff away. So most of what I was picking up was stuff he has left out over the last month. Now it is not only out but boxes are getting emptied on top of it. He is just a mess. And he knows it. We will see... he wants to share a space so we will see how that works out.

Espen & I had an adventure in MUD today. It was unintentional but it happened. We were outside after his afternoon nap playing. Then he started eating mud.... it is yummy I guess. Then he moved over to playing with the garden hose. He refused his sippy of water so being such a resourceful mommy I turned on the hose! And he had a nice long drink!

I moved the CASTLE over so he could play on it but he was captivated with the hose and the water. Well next thing I know he is trying to carry the hose up the slide. I was cracking up! So I helped him! Then he played in the water and on the slide for a long time! It sure looked fun & cool as I was standing and helping when needed and sweating buckets. And I was also thirsty but didn't want to go inside to get a drink (being responsible). So he played for a long time that way. Then I decided it was getting close to dinner so we should clean up & go inside. I turned off the water! And turned around to get a towel and BAM... my wet cutie got right into a DEEP hole of mud (remember it poured rain this morning!). And he LAUGHED.... oh yes he has learned the LAUGH. And there he sat LAUGHING!! It is such an infectious laugh that I started laughing too. I let him play. Afterall where do we have to go! And he played until he thought he should crawl over & give me a hug. OH NO!! I grabbed the garden hose & washed him off, threw a towel over him & took him to the bath!!! He had such a fun afternoon!!
SUMMER ROCKS!!!
