Today I thought it would be fun to meet the group of kids that have converged on my friend Kellie! They were all headed to Dave-n-Busters and Espen cold "play" for a little while! It was a great morning and we played & had some fun with snow in the bathtub. Then he had a "naked" accident on mommy's bed. So I had to wash all the bedding on my bed. Then about mid-morning, things started to fall apart. Espen got fussy & clingy & tired. There was no way it would have been fun for either of us to get in the car & drive anywhere. So we had lunch and made a mess. He fussed but took a nap. Unfortunately, his nap was cut short when he had an accident that came through the diaper & got all over him, his bed, his clothes... so he was so sad & crying... BIG TEARS. Did not want to go back to bed after it was all cleaned up. So I held him & he had milk & we read some books. And we played all afternoon. I let him play with the playdough until he ate some. We had some snacks (then had to vacume as there was a popcorn explosion when we started to wrestle!). So although we didn't get to go play with the big boys... we did play....

I am glad to have such a kind friend who totally gets what it is like to have a 2 year old... and I appreciate her! Telling people I can't go or be there is upsetting but it is better if the other person understands... so I am thankful I found such a great friend!
