today we had our first summer day camp day.... it is just 2 mornings at the forest preserve & we hiked & looked at trees. espen got a tree to plant. he is the youngest participant.... so that was interesting. i didn't know that he would be the youngest and was surprised when he seemed so far behind developmentally. it dawned on me 1/2 way through to ask around about the ages... DUH... he is right on track & is 2!! it was fun. i didn't have a camera today so no pictures!

we raced to swim lessons next & made it. espen had so much fun & eagerly loves to play in deep water. he has to be monitored so closely in deep water because he has no fear at all...

he was still awake when i got home & was eager to kiss & hug mommy.... and poop & brush teeth before bed. is a good way to kill time but he does it. it was such a great 20 minutes!

and tomorrow is a new day... another day of summer fun!
