September 21 ~ 2011 Park

The weather is nothing to complain about in Nebraska right now!  In fact it is great outside.  Today after a power walk at the zoo, some delish lunch, a nap & a hair appointment for mommy I took Espen to the park!  We had an hour before I had to go to work so we went to the park that is a perfect "make-out" or drug deal or secret meeting park... it is off a busy street, down a hill, surrounded by trees, separated from any neighbor hood... it is a great park.  We go there often!  There is a fantastic playground with swings, slides, an old school merry-go-round and SAND!  There is a sand volleyball court and baseball fields too... and an odd dirt trail that lots of bikers use (and serious runners - maybe I should run the trail to get myself ready for the zoo run & beer /bagel run!).  There are always a few people there... rarely playing...mostly riding the mystery trail!  Espen loves the sand and the merry-go-round... it was fun.  My little guy does his own stunts.... and had so much fun doing it!  So as the sun was shining down on us it was easy to imagine we were anywhere but Bellevue!!  Then a military plane flew over and I was brought right back to reality!  To bad... I really wanted to sink my toes into the sandy beaches and order a drink.... guess not today.....
