September 6 ~ 2011 Swim lessons
Wow.. it was a long holiday weekend. Some things got broken & fixed. I cried & laughed. I spent time with 3 important people. And today is Tuesday and I can't even think about where to start! So how bout I just skip to today!!
Espen started his first REAL swim class today. Oh yea.. I'm just that crazy! I drove us 40 minutes to this pool for a 35 minute lesson. He was one of 3 little boys in the lesson. All age 2. NO mommies. I sat in another room watching from the glass window as my little boy wore his goggles, listened to the instructor & did what he was supposed to be doing. It was adorable! It may not work so smoothly next week. He didn't have any separation anxiety! Just wanted in the freaking pool! It is a great class and I believe he will learn alot. We are signed up for the year so he better love it! The only thing that went wrong is after class they give the kids a sucker... and of course the RED sucker sent him over the edge. Sure I could have taken it away from him... but he was being just like the other boys and we want that! But I left there & went to Whole Foods and found some delish suckers that are not going to send him into the crazy world. He was tired & didn't nap and couldn't be still to save himself. It was not a bad afternoon, just long. Check this place out! If you are ever in the area for any peroid of time, it is a really nice facility! And I guess it starts... a mom who will drive her little boy to great lengths so he can enjoy the pool! http://www.swimtastic.com/locations/index.asp?l_id=5
