Lessons in life
Because my life is far from “NORMAL”....
Last week I turned in the official change of address to the post office. Yesterday I worked on cancelling utilities and starting utilities in our next location. It is draining to say the least on my spirit and my pocket book!
Out of the blue I got a text from the sweet young lady who bought our last house. To my surprise she had received mail from a family member in Canada who I think missed my last address change! She wondered if my friend in the neighborhood who has picked up stuff for me from that address would stop or if she should forward it. I just fell over laughing.
What life changes 18 months make.... My friend that had picked up items has since moved to another state. And we are a week away from moving again. I asked this kind person to please forward it to my next address. It may be forever lost in the mail.....
At this moment I am at the mercy of the kindness of others. The post office in our next location is aware of our arrival and should be holding mail for us until we take possession of the house. The owners of our last house are kind in understanding and moving things along and we continue to hope that the folks buying our house and the ones we are buying from are just as understanding in making a smooth transition. (We last moved just before Christmas which is why the exchange of information happened... I accidentally had a box shipped that I needed for Christmas!).
So my friends be kind to people. Ask people to help you. Rely on one another. I have complete strangers phone numbers in my phone and I reach out to ask for help. Live outside the box. We need one another.
