Day One... It begins
It should begin as all things do with an introdution... if someone reads my blog, they should know something about me... and so it will begin...
I'm the happiest mommy of a 9 month old. He is my miracle - a gift really - that I waited a long time for. I left my fundraising career before I had realized my full potential. I look back occassionally with lust to the days of meetings, paperwork, staff issues and results. I yearn sometimes (as all mom's do) to wear a nice designer outfit that won't have slobber or some food substance on it! I imagine a life with a salary again. I am however content to be at home with my little boy as he grows, develops and amazes me. Nothing in life is more important than these moments.
I am an educated woman with a recent masters degree - I joke with the family that I am now master mommy! I read and study and learn daily. I exercise and enjoy walking, my treadmill & my WII. I am a hockey fan.
I have a pottery studio at home. I want so badly to be a potter and wish a year ago when deciding to get a masters I had gotten an art degree instead. I love to be in the clay & to be dirty. There is nearly nothing as relaxing (except maybe the beach) or as calming as being behind the wheel in "the zone". My work has on occassion been in an art gallery & sold in a boutique type store but I am a long long way from professional. I am a basement potter with a desire to be more. But I don't do it for the money or fame... I do it for the dirt & pure pleasure.
I have 5 pets in a big house. Two dogs, two cats & my fish Franky. They of course are all the most wonderful pets anyone could ever ask for. They would never leave a mess anywhere, lay exactly where I want to walk, bark uncontrollably at nothing or dig in my garden... they are not those kind of pets... they are somedays worse! But on the coldest nights when there are 2 cats snuggled up on a leg or in the middle of the hottest summer when a wet dog cools me off with a furry shake and I burst into laughter... these are the reasons I keep them.
So that's about me... but why the strange title one may ask? Well I am perhaps the person who breaks everything. I could list the technology I have used & abused but the stories of my escapades will be much more fun... and clearly I have some experience!
So I begin this journey needing some lunch and looking at my broken camera...
