I'm Leaving

I am going to leave ILLINOIS. I was going to slip out of town unannounced and quietly but while sitting on my front porch watching the CRAZIES outside and drinking a STELLA I got all nostalgic with myself... I can remember being downtown Chicago on a HOT night and drinking Stella (a new beer) for awhile before going salsa dancing... oh yea you read that right SALSA dancing. It was awesome! I got to thinking about all my great friends and remembering so many good times that I thought it wasn't fair or just to roll out of town without a word. So I'M LEAVING. According to the PLAN right now we are closing on Tuesday (4/20) and the movers will be here Monday (4/20). It seems to be the real plan this time. I know you have heard it all before but this time ~ we are sure.... (as sure as we can be at this weird time).

So if you think you want to see me again before I leave... NOW would be the time. I don't know when I'll be back. I can tell you when I left my beloved friends in southern Texas I was sure I'd be back to visit... and I haven't. And tonight the Stella makes me think of those great friends also.... darn that Stella!!

Remember the times.... the laughter... the vacations.... the bitching... the working.... the staying up late deep in conversation.... the concerts.... the KIDS....I can assure you I will remember those times. I am not going to promise that I'll be back (because my friends in the south would call me out on that)... but I can promise that I will on occassion do my best to keep in touch!!

We will close on a house soon in Nebraska.... and I will then let you know the address..... Until Tuesday.. you can find me at the same old location... probably drinking something my dear neighbor left here and remembering the great times I've had here....
