Father's Day

A rainy day. Gray. Lightening. Thunder. Pouring down rain at times.

Before lunch I decided we needed some AIR. So I took Espen out to watch the rain. He had on shorts & t-shirt & before you can BLINK he wanted down & he had crawled into the mud hole by the front door. OH it was funny! And Doug stood inside watching the mess! Until I asked him to get the camera... Then he came out to watch. And we had some fun in the rain & mud!

THEN... as I was putting some laundry on the bed in the guest room I saw the neighbors outside with a camera. I of course wanted to know what was going on. So I took my hot cup of coffee to the porch to see some CRAZY stuff. It is POURING rain, lighting flashing across the sky & the neighbors have tied a rope to a tree & to his truck. There is a light pole RIGHT THERE. And the transformer boxes. Other neighbors were advising him as to what to do. So then he tied his chain saw to a rope & put his deer stand in the tree. And HE CUT THE LIMB & someone pulled with the truck... and CRASH the limb hit the light pole causing glass & tree branches to snap all over the street.... man I laughed! And then we went out & helped sweep up the mess... trying to meet the neighbors! Well he wasn't done... but the rain caused a delay... until another day it seems. But man we laughed every time we looked at the busted up street light & the Tammy St. sign that looks like it has been in a terrible storm!!

Father's Day ~ I asked what the best part about being a dad was ~ his answer..... there are so many things but mostly when I look at Espen and the love bounces out of me. Cute!
