16 month little boy!

It is extremely hard to believe that my baby... Espen ... is 16 months old. It seems like just a few days ago I was holding him in the hospital waiting to go home. He is amazingly cute. Growing taller faster than gaining any weight. Has big feet, we've gotten new shoes 3 times this summer. He is healthy and we've only had fevers & childhood illness once (roseola). He has a good vocabulary and signs fairly often. It is helpful to me when I see it! He is busy and getting to be much more focused on things and events and people and expressions. He eats like crazy. He rarely cries. We've resolved the constipation (for now). He has a new best friend and wakes up calling for that friend (Anders). He is outgrowing 2 naps and that is ok. To my annoyance he is attached to his pacificer and has a name for it "B". So he can quite simply ask for B and he knows where they are in the kitchen and will DEMAND one. He falls and tumbles and is rough like I imagine boys are. Yet on occassion he stops and cuddles with us. He loves books. He doesn't watch TV. His smile is contagious which makes correction & re-direction challenging. He laughs when people laugh. He loves fast food. SONIC drinks are awesome. He doesn't like to brush his teeth but will use his toothbrush to comb his curly hair! He is not really into balls or catch yet but is terribly interested in little trucks. He can climb virtually anything and has no fear of falling. Crayons are still more tastey than fun. He loves to play near others. Music is his favorite thing (especially pop, techno & the kind you can groove to!). He has learned to cross his fingers & just does so.

So that is our boy at 16 months....
