Nap time is often the most challenging time of the day. Because my independent little boy thinks he can decide what he is doing. I am generally able to leave him in there alone, awake & upset, for an hour (that is my max). And typically he goes to sleep. But some days.... he can keep himself awake for that hour & then he is even more tired than he was when I thought he should have a nap... it is a challenging battle of the wills!! Somedays I win... some I win still but not when I thought I would!!

And after a little battle I did win & he slept for over 2 hours. That gave me some time to clear off some simple things I have been trying to do. Like get some photos framed, clean off the desk, walk and make some chili.... I can't sit still...

Espen has been pestering me to take Bob (the stroller) for a walk for weeks. So today the sun was shining & it was not as fridgid as it has been so I felt like we should take Bob out and I also took the dogs. WOW... the dogs don't get walked as often as they should. So they were excited & eager to walk. All of the sidewalks are not all shoveled so we had to walk in the road part of the way. I decided to go up to the church & let the dogs loose. We made it & they had a great romp. Espen also got out & ran around & chased the dogs & called them. All the while holding his little gray duck. And when it was time to leave, Espen was the one who did not want to come home. We made it.... and even though it was crazy to walk all 3 of them it was worth it... they were all happy!!!
