So funny random things did indeed happen... it is exhausting to walk in my shoes...
Espen was so quiet this morning playing in his bed when he woke up that I decided that since it was Gymboree day, & Doug had already left for work, that I would take a shower QUICKLY! So I did. And when I got out, he was still playing quietly. So, knowing he had been awake for about 30 minutes in his bed, quietly, I quickly put on pants & a tank top & went in his room. I was assaulted by the SMELL... OH YES... my beautiful son had AGAIN taken off all his clothes & was playing with some poop.... AARRRRGGGGHHHH.... So I opened a window, grabbed some wipes & did the best I could before I decided he just had to take a bath. So off to the tub he went & off to the washer went his bedding. The funniest most random part of the morning was the duck. It had poop on it.. and yet he CLUNG to it. I tried to get it away, which resulted in screaming and panic. So he wanted to put it in the tub... so I let him. And then he wanted soap for duckie.. so we gave duckie a bath. And when Espen was clean, and duckie was clean, they got out of the tub & I rang all the water off the duck and he carried a wet duckie for about 20 minutes before he was comfortable putting him down... and then I snatched it up & put it in the wash with everything else.
Then gymboree... and he got some playdough... then home... and he played playdough for the whole afternoon... sitting at the table playing. I would imagine that unless you have a child with afro curly hair you have never thought about what you will do with pink playdough in the tight curls of an unruly mess of hair. That is what I spent my afternoon thinking about... and let me just say... it was not easy to get some of it out... but I managed..... It took some soaking... and scrubbing!!
And right this minute I am so exhausted I can barely sit here... I'm bone tired... don't know exactly how I got this way but here I am... tired... tired... so I'm off to bed... some sleep will be lovely!!
