Today is my 39th Birthday! And at the end of my day and I reflect on it, it was a decent day...
My day started a little early when Espen woke up early & climbed in the bed with me and tapped my face everytime I closed my eyes. I got up and while Doug watched him, I got a quick shower. And got some clothes on. I got a home made birthday card handed to me & "read" by my little boy. I barely got breakfast because Espen kept eating everything I got! But finally I was on a role....
It was a gymboree day but we also needed to get an oil change for the zippy car which I intended to drive to Oklahoma.
So Espen & I went to Jiffy Lube which is a mere blocks from Gymboree! And we WAITED & WAITED & WAITED... nothing Jiffy about them... all in all it took a tiny bit over an hour to get AN OIL CHANGE in my zippy car. It was flustering to say the least. Not only did I get TAKEN for alot of money because I had an upset baby who I was trying to hold away from the oil pit but it also took an extreme amount of time and we were late to Gymboree.
So by the time we got to gymboree, Espen was grouchy, and he walked in, found the boy nearest his size and grabbed 2 fist fulls of hair... OH man... he had to sit in time out. Then he got to play. and had some fun. It was over to fast.
I treated us to McDonalds for my birthday and we played outside in the sunshine for an hour before nap. There are signs of spring in the back yard & I was excited to see them on my birthday! I had ONE LITTLE YELLOW FLOWER! Espen spotted it and tried to picke it and when that failed he tried to eat it... poor flower didn't make it through the afternoon...

He had a good nap & I took the time to get some things packed for our trip. Then he woke up and BAM... he was so needy and moody and didn't want me to let him down... so when Doug texted me to say he was on the way home & where would I like to go eat I nearly told him to stay at work. But he came home & I had a place picked out.
Mind you... It would have been lovely to go to some place that served drinks and we could have a lovely meal all together.. but Espen wasn't about to handle that.. so I decided I am an awesome mommy & we would go to THE AMAZING PIZZA MACHINE f

es, run, play... they had a little kid zone. And a buffet... So we all had some fun!
Mind you... It would have been lovely to go to some place that served drinks and we could have a lovely meal all together.. but Espen wasn't about to handle that.. so I decided I am an awesome mommy & we would go to THE AMAZING PIZZA MACHINE f

AND after the oil change disaster I have (with Doug's help) decided to take the freaking LINCOLN... (i have sirus radio at least, no iPod needed)!
