September 13 ~ 2011 Artificial color
We have been experimenting with artificial colored foods.... and have nearly elemenated it from our house. Seems those darn colors turn my child into a wiggly, hyper, uncontrollable little fool. It is almost immediate. Unfortunately I am having a harder time getting it out when I take him away from home. The swim teacher gives a sucker after class & wouldn't you know I forgot my color free ones today. So again my little guy got one with the other boys and BLAM... he was wild.
There is alot of controversey about if this is a myth or fact. I can tell you from experience that colors has an impact on some kids. In England for example, foods that carry the artificial colors have a warning label that reads "may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children,".... isn't that something!! So no matter what you believe, there may be something... for now.. I'm doing my utmost best to keep my kid from those things because he just can't handle them...
