September 18 ~ 2011 ~ Black Eye

 For the first time in my life I have a black eye!  Not really funny and it hurts pretty badly but I've come up with some good stories.. no one believed me but I tried.  The reality is that Espen (being 2) head butted me while I was laying defenseless and unsuspecting on the couch.  He called it BONK.  I believe it was not meant to cause such harm but he got me right on my eye socket and it immediately swelled up & turned pretty purple!  And it is so incredibly sore.  I iced it for about 30 minutes and he repeatedly said "mommy feel better?"... of course.... I feel great!!  So today I put a truck load of concealer on and went to work and it was not noticeable!  And tomorrow I'll see how it looks but probably will wear some concealer then too! 

I guess the lesson is to watch yourself when you are laying on the couch!
