Adventures
My life is nothing short of an adventure! It is a fortunate thing to be able to stay home with my smart, active little boy. It is grand to have a flexible, fun job that I enjoy going to. It is awesome to watch the relationship between Espen & Anders grow as it does. And it is amazing to be able to go on some adventures of the small kind (even when my mind screams about wanting BIG adventures)...
So a week into 2012 I have taken Espen to Dodge City and we played in the glorious weather! We watched Anders fly and are amazed that he can actually fly that helicopter!! It is a fortunate thing indeed to be able to fly such a powerful machine... and standing on the ground watching him is amazing.
While there we decided to meet Aunt Shanna for lunch in Woodward OK!! That is an adventure! We drove a couple hours to spend the major part of the day with her! We all had so much fun! We shopped some, walked in the sunshine and played at McDonald's. While some may question our sanity... I had a blast!! I live pretty far from my sisters so this small bit of time was absolutely perfect!! No stress. No boredom. It was a nice time!! And I am thankful for that!
And now I am home again... awaiting my next opportunity! I believe a trip to visit grandma is in order.... my 40th birthday is in March and I want nothing more than to sit on the beach for the day... we have swim lessons.... we can go skate.... We will enjoy many more adventures together, my family & I... Espen will grow and develop, Anders will fly and open new doors... and we will do many fun things together.... and I am certain there will be a camera close by to document the normal and absurd!! Here are some of the last exciting things we have done...
