Brand New Broken SHeD
We are a train wreck of a family. This weekend we found a plastic storage shed that will hold some bikes and ride-ons that is easy to assemble and easy to open (kid friendly). It was super affordable so we brought it home. There are so many little boy bikes and scooters and skateboards littering up my garage that I can not think straight so the shed was on my bucket list for 2015!
When loading this classy little storage unit box into the truck, I lost control of the large rolling cart which slammed into the side of the new truck.... OOPS....
We got it home and put it together. In the process of doing so, one instruction instructed us to gently tap a clamp into place. One tap and the clamp & the part it held shattered. Well not to be deterred, we laughed and got out the duck tape. We have multiple colors of duck tape for just such incidents!!
It was finished and held bikes nicely. Espen can get in and out of it and get his bikes, scooter, skateboards and a few balls out of the garage! WaHoo!!
Doug moved the trucks all back so we could put this little shed in front of the single car garage door. It was in place and looked great. He opened a door and was moving the truck closer and BLAM... drove right into the shed. He broke a hinge in the process. On the same door that we had shattered a piece off of! OH DAM.
I laughed. This stuff happens to me. ALL THE TIME.
I thought we could go online and see if parts can be replaced. So he did. And at least one of the broken parts are on the way!
Laying in bed at 11:00pm Doug flips out about WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THE DAM KEYS FOR THE SHED??? I do not know. And clearly my joke about not needing them because the hinge is smashed anyway from driving into it was misplaced at the moment. He gets dressed and was searching everywhere. He did not want my help. After about 20 minutes I strongly suggest he go look in all the trucks because he had truck keys and the shed key all in his hands. He grumbled at me. I went back to bed.
I guess he decided to look in the truck because that is where he finally found them. DUH... told you so.
Now we know where the keys are. We know parts are on the way. The bikes are in the shed. The shed is securely closed and in a place that is easy for Espen to access. We are a train wreck of excitement.
