Why you should check your calendar and shower....
Today. It was ridiculous.
An easy morning getting my son to school. Oddly he was very "lovey" ~ mind you I am not complaining but it was strange. Then while doing some PTA things I discovered I had an OB/GYN appointment at 8:20am not 10:20am like I had in my mind.... SO as I rushed mid-sentence out of the building calling the doctor I was mentally cringing at the fact that I had NOT showered yet and I was just starting "that time of the month". Of course they understood my lateness and of course the doctor has seen all that before, please still come in, the super polite and chipper receptionist told me.
She honestly can take that chipper 8am attitude and shove it.
So I got there 20 minutes late. Not showered. And submitted myself to an annual exam. Quick witted. Honest. Kindly told me I could loose some weight (OK I may kill). That smart doctor (a new one ~ thanks for the referral, you know who you are) knew that just telling me to call for a mammogram would not get me to do it SO called on my behalf and to my stupefied response there was an opening at the nearby hospital for the exam RIGHT THEN. So off I went to have the mammogram. NOT AT ALL WHAT I PLANNED. I had on deodorant for goodness sake...
Not to worry they said ~ they have wipes at the hospital to get clean. PERFECT.
I went. I wiped and I submitted myself to the crushing machine. Mind you after an annual a breast exam is just like a walk through the park ~ on a cold winter day, naked with biter wind hitting you ~ easy! Nothing like being man handled before having coffee.
That is correct. I had NOT had my coffee because I had intended to go home, shower and enjoy a cup (or three) before going to the appointment. So I was sort of off my game.
And then I went to the grocery store. Because I felt like the fun just was not done yet.
By the time I was finished I parked the car in the drive and sat there. Just sat staring at the house and a single tear slide down my cheek because I was tired and had to carry all that crap up the stairs by myself and I hate that.
Glad the day is over... and I can finally shower!!
