New Year ~ RESOLUTIONS

Happy New Year!

It is that time when we all think about our resolutions or goals or wishes or plans for the coming 365 days (this year you are lucky and have an extra day so 366 days).  We all make those resolutions and then a week later adjust them and a month later give up entirely.  We feel like we failed ourselves and we just go about living life.

Well I have some this year that I am 100% sure I can do.... and if you want to borrow them, please feel free.... I think this year I am all about setting out to start something and not have to struggle to finish it!

Awesome Pictures, Images, Graphics for Facebook, Whatsapp, Pinterest ...
I will be even more awesome than I was last year! (AWESOME by definition is extremely impressive and I am certain I can do that!).

I will finish my holiday cards from 2015.  Honestly, I'm almost done just ran out of envelopes and have not been to a store when I remembered I needed the envelopes... I feel like I can actually get the rest in the mail... and the ones I don't have addresses for well they will see the online version in the next day... See GOAL REACHED!

I will drink more.  (Notice I am not very specific here.... some days I may need to drink more water while others I may need more adult beverages),

I will walk more.  Yep... walk.  Walk from the couch to the kitchen, the parking lot to the store.... Walk the dog, walk myself, walk with my family.  Can't say I'll do much more than that.  But I think all this walking will mean I should get a new pair of shoes... so I guess I should just go with it and get the shoes!

I will drive closer to the speed limit.  Not exact here but closer since my child pays very close attention to the sign numbers and the speedometer.  I better at least try to set a good example.

Susan Jaymes, Author: The Inner CriticI will only buy $5 cups of coffee when it is extremely important... like mornings or late afternoons when LIFE just requires that boost.

I will use my loud voice.  Yea.  Just use it because I like it.  And saying I won't is just impossible... we are yellers I guess.

LARVA cartoon is a favorite
I will watch more useless and barely entertaining cartoons with my child (who is grossly entertained by the ones with no words which I find to be a horrible time suck and waste of life).  Just sitting quietly with him can be the quality time he is needing and I better just live with it.

I will not feel guilty when I do something for myself on occasion.

*********

The reality is that without setting some kind of goals ~ whether they are resolutions or just long term (or short term) goals, we have no reason for doing anything.  So in seriousness I do have some goals. Long term and short term goals that I adjust and change as life changes.

This year we are moving into a brand new house... I get my studio back... and I have some serious plans in my studio and with my work. (serendipitypottery)  I want to get involved in the community and do some make & take classes in a storefront.  And if I get to them FANTASTIC... if I have to change mid-stream, if I have to have help or postpone my grand plan.... it is quite OK...

The important thing is not to give up.  To keep working toward something and to have fun at it.
